he is, with me, me, me ... I did it all, all my accomplishments. Yeah, I doubt it will be down, but I had a laughing spell about him bragging in a dimmed auditorium, can't turn the lights on ... etc.

(16,254 posts)Where did he come from? Russia? The Young Republicans? How did he get into the Oval Office and have the POTUS' ear? Never heard of him before the last couple months.
I think we should play "Republican Dark Side" and start a rumor that he is a plant from the DNC and is wired. That hair peninsula that extends out from the front of his hairline conceals a miniature camera and when he lowers his head like he is doing in the photo, he is focusing the camera toward his subject. To click, he'll touch his ear lobe. You'll never know it happened...he's slick. The bulges on either side of his upper lip are microphones...in stereo. The next time you see him being interviewed, you'll notice he never blows his nose. That is out of courtesy to the CIA agents listening in. My God, they'd go ballistic if he cleaned out that honker.
Just sayin'.

STEPHEN MILLERS OP-EDS FROM HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE SHOW HOW HE BECAME TRUMPS MOST NOTORIOUS AIDE
Newsweek | By Carlos Ballesteros
Tuesday, January 9, 2018
The Santa Monica, California, native spent his teenage years railing against his towns liberal bent, defending former President George W. Bush, the Iraq War and the Republican Party while blaming America's ills on immigrants, school administrators and Muslims.
Miller used his high school newspaper and local press to his advantage, penning op-eds intended to incite his classmates and make sure everyone knew he stood out from the sea of blue-state voters.
By the time Miller enrolled at Duke University in 2003, his right-wing politics had hardened, as did his writing. He also became acquainted with Richard Spencer, a white supremacist and a future leader of the alt-right movement. Spencer told Mother Jones in 2016 that he acted as a mentor to Miller.

(22,025 posts)The Democrats should have a plan for the State of the Union address.
First, they all show up and take their seats. When Trump enters, they stand and give polite applause for the Office of the Presidency.
Then, when Trump casts his first slur against the Democrats, they stand en masse and walk out of the House chamber.
Trump will go nuts.
More importantly, it would send the message that play-time is over.

(15,805 posts)If a Republican can get away with yelling, "You lie!", then Dem should use a similar tactic. Let them hold up "You lie!" signs (professional graphics, nice and classy - LOL), everytime Trump tells a whopper.
Precision sign waving could become an Olympic event, and it will certainly rattle Trump. He might even stop reading his canned speech and act like a raving lunatic on primetime TV. And the news networks would likely be more focus on what the Dems were doing than on Trump's self indulgent fairytale.
