community Women's March instead of going to Denver. The local March only had 60 people last year. Several hundred today with men, children, our State Senator and other local politicians. Great weather for the March!

Greeley’s first women’s march draws larger than expected crowd

About 150 people showed up to Greeley's first Women March Saturday morning in downtown Greeley.
Sporting pink hats, signs and chanting, "This is what Democracy looks like," the crowd assembled at the Weld County Courthouse and marched down 8th Avenue, before assembling at the gazebo at Lincoln Park.

Parents and their kids were aplenty, sporting signs urging people to vote, to resist and persist, before the crowd erupted into cheers. Above them as they gathered, an eagle circled high above in the sky.

"The eagle comes to tell us it's time to keep our eyes open, and our minds open to new and interesting things," said Loretta Scott, 81, who spoke to the crowd about speaking up and stepping up to do the hard work ahead of changing the current track of government in Washington D.C.

We travelled from TN. It was a huge crowd, but I’m not good at estimating. Several thousands, I’m sure.

the local stations usually underestimate so the crowd size must be bigger. Nevertheless, there was great turnout in both cities!
