Anyone else experience this? I live stream through Amazon Fire. Just yesterday downloaded app for Direct TV Now and its default is Fox News. So far the only way I can figure to move away from that is with the voice controller.
This pisses me off.

You also have option of recording to the cloud

(38,303 posts)That's one reason I don't have cable, satellite, or broadcast television. I won't pay to have garbage delivered to my house. I never see television commercials or television propaganda. I think television is the worst possible medium for reporting news or for news analysis.
We do have Netflix, but mostly our television is a DVD player.
I'm a much happier person without traditional television in my life.

(26,251 posts)My mom switched to them, ironically, about the time she started showing signs of dementia. They did a lousy installation and refused to make it right, without us paying them even more money to do what they should have done, in the first place. The customer service reps were beyond rude, and when we demanded to speak to their supervisors, it just got worse. We kept her with it until we could disconnect without a massive penalty and made it abundantly clear, to them, why we were discontinuing. They didn't care.

(70,649 posts)Actually, it was a long "evolution" of corporate takeovers.
In the days of yore, I chose satellite because of the bad cable companies. So it was (I think) TurnerVision. But that got taken over by EchoStar? Then (there might have been one or two others), somehow Dish became the lesser of evils. Over the years, there haven't been problems with the signal, hardly even during storms, but there was yearly trouble with Customer Service over paying-by-the-year. Every year I swore I would go elsewhere, but then it was too much trouble. There were 'net articles about how meanly the employees were treated by the example of the autocratic boss (I don't know who's in charge now).
