that for the sake of the Party that they have to mobilize in Congress to take Trump out of office. They need to send their elders into the WH and force Trump into stepping down or begin impeachment proceedings. Trump is destroying this country and by so doing is destroying the Repug Party. My only problem with this is that Pence is no better than Trump.

Likely they took piles of Putin's cash, and now that itself becomes Kompromat.

of them are going to take the (Russian) money, and run. Retire while the mess is getting even worse. The Orange Menace has systematically destroyed this country in one short year. The gop are also to blame. They wanted someone who would "sign anything we put in front of him" as McConnell stated. Thanks gop, you are every bit as much to blame for the devastation as the tRump family and their enablers are. Putin must be so proud of the mess he has helped create. Nero fiddled while Rome burned. Orange Mistake is golfing, at taxpayer expense, while the USA is disintegrating.

A healthy democracy would not have elected Trump. If elected, a healthy democracy would have removed him from office.

Trump is just the boil that erupts from a infection within.

been saying this for a LONG time now - it was why I said he was a serious threat to win their nomination when he came down that escalator - he is the very embodiment of the republican party.

Trump is a dotard, reactive, and driven only by self-gratification.

Trump is not a leader.

which has almost half it programming being documentaries of Germany in the leadup to and during WWII.

Two things have stuck me:

1) As this thread highlights, how eerily similar where we are today are to then, including the decade leading up to WWII.

2) Sadly, and bizarrely, the only hope that, at present, while Hitler and the Nazis where extraordinarily professional, focused and efficient, the Rs generally, and 45 specifically are mostly just half arsed buffoons bounding from one moment of idiocy to the next

NOW, the problem is that our country remains stupid as fuck - their 1/3 completely brainwashed and the "middle" third in PTSD that enables republican fuck wittery. So, I don't see how we pull out of it. But, as of now, we have not crossed the point of no return.

But your analysis that some large percentage is as stupid-as-fuck is within a P-value of 0.05. The other fact is that most of the rest is just ignorant and want to be that way "Get out of the way of the tube - their's a game on!: or "Get your own T.V. if you want to watch something different."

So we all sulk to our own rooms and offices and hangouts and bars and latte-shoppes and commiserate with others just like us.

OK, so I'm addicted to DU. What's that to you?

18. A word of caution regarding any comparison of Donald Trump to Adolph Hitler
Mon Jan 22, 2018, 02:49 PM

I strongly suggest that we all refrain from such hyperbole. Any casual examination of the facts tells us that Donald Trump is no Adolph Hitler.

While both are believed to have many personalty traits in common, such as Narcissistic personality disorder, Paranoia, and antisocial personality disorder, Hitler was, apparently, quite A focused and intelligent individual who actually served in the Military and wasn't a draft-dodging Chicken Hawk.
