“I have a message tonight for the special counsel, Robert Mueller,” Fox News host and sometime adviser to President Donald Trump Sean Hannity said at the top of last night’s broadcast. “Your witch hunt is now over. Time to close the doors."

With those words, Hannity signaled a new phase in the campaign against Mueller, which is uniting Republican members of Congress, pro-Trump pundits and journalists, alt-right figures, and suspected Russian-linked bot networks in a full-fledged effort to torpedo the special counsel’s investigation.

Support for enforcing the laws and support for the principles of law, no one above the law in particular, isn't a love fest, it is just everyday American democracy. Which party took on the past abuses of the FBI and CIA? Not the Republicans. Progressives don't consider the government to be the enemy of the government, they hold that government is accountable to the People. Times haven't changed for progressives, we are where we always are. And times seem to not have changed for the white supremacists either, they still have not learned the lesson that they cannot abuse government to achieve their ends. You need to comprehend that it IS liberal to hold that principles of law and constitutional governance need to be upheld and citizen support is essential in that regard or the government will run amok with abuse by those placing their personal politics above the interests of society.
