Someone please just make it stop!

I get up every morning looking for a headline that the madness has been stopped. I spent 58 years living in a democracy, but my 59th year was lived in
a dictatorship.

The madness is so obvious. But the madness does not stop, nor are there enough steps being taken to stop it. So far this morning, I’ve read news stories where ICE boarded a Greyhound bus in Florida and asked everyone to prove their citizenship. I’ve read about a Polish doctor who has lived in America for 40 years and is now being deported, and I just read where a Congressman from Texas has discovered that over 1400 VETERANS who served their country have been deported. If it’s “their” country they served, then it’s THEIR country to live in!!!

If I had been aboard the Greyhound bus, how would I prove my own citizenship? Is my whiteness all that it would take? If so, that’s not good enough for me.

No one is stopping this monster and that’s the problem. It’s as plain as the nose on my face that the monster needs to be stopped and must be stopped, but no one with any authority is stopping him.

This bunch of authoritarian Mussolini wannabes can't even make the trains run on time. Hell, these numpties couldn't organize a telephone conference call. https://www.salon.com/2017/05/03/watch-mick-mulvaneys-phone-call-with-the-media-descends-into-conference-call-hell/

To reflect that Democrats are responsible for the shut down. How can the monster be allowed to do that?

Dems should be playing that message on every morning talk show in addition to seeking any and all legal remedies to get an injunction against it.

4. Unless you moved, you certainly don't live in a dictatorship

Dictators don't get overruled by courts. Dictators don't get stymied by legislators. Dictators don't allow massive public protests. Dictators don't see their party facing wave elections. Dictators don't get mocked on national television or public radio. I get it Trump sucks. But it is baseless to call Trump a dictator.

So the whole gist of my post, THAT’s the part you decide to nit pick?

You don’t think Trump is DICTATING these deportations? I’m sorry but I have to respectfully disagree. These people are being deported.

7. Clever that you picked the least relevant portion of the OP to take exception to.

Clever that you picked the least relevant portion of the OP to take exception to.

I get it... it's fun to pretend we're rational at the expense of everyone else.

5. Every night I dream of him suffering a massive stroke on live TV

And each morning I wake disappointed.

Full disclosure: I initially typed that as "I dream of him suffering a massive stork," which would be pretty cool, too.

8. It would be nice if it were televised because then I could be sure it happened.

However, it would also be OK if it happened overnight and I woke up to the news.

But maybe a massive stork could carry him away. It would have to be very massive, though, like a pterodactyl.
