I can't find the answer. Who can be the FIRST to dig up information on the citizenship status

of Melania's parents? All I can find out is that they used to be living in Trump Tower and now they spend most of their time in Mar a Lago.

I haven't found info on when they got their Green Cards or if they became citizens.

But they would be prime examples of CHAIN IMMIGRATION, which DT is determined to end.

Their names are Viktor and Amalija Knavs, and they came from Slovenia.

Melania also a sister, Ines (now known as Ines Knauss). She was also living in NY. Was she part of the CHAIN IMMIGRATION? Does she have any children who are part of the chain?

Anyone else?

Could care less but it is the hypocrisy. The article mentioned that before starting school during some tv interview their grandson Barron had an accent so they probably all speak their first language at home which is great he is bilingual but if it was Spanish it would be a horrible thing because speak English only I guess
What ever they did they don't want for others I bet
typical republicans
I got mine now screw you

chain immigration, but not brown people from Central or South America, or Haiti.

And he's fine with the grandparents speaking their language with Barron, as long as it's not Spanish.

And what's with Miller ? Went to Hebrew school his family very involved in Jewish philanthropy / identity and he is racist we know but also he is egging on these white supremacy groups chanting against Jews ? I guess just not him so it's OK
The hypocrisy is disgusting and I'm glad you were mad enough to ask these questions it's not wrong but when I asked them during the election , everyone here that replied was like back off her and her family but 18 months later I haven't seen trump back off the families he is hurting here and she is still a birther so to me it's like please tell us why your family is so special Melania?

have green cards?

Trump is against families coming here through what he calls "chain immigration." At least, he's against it for non-white people. He seems to be fine with it for the families of his wives.

there are special visas you can buy - Jared was caught peddling these to potential Chinese investors.

It's also possible that Melania's parents go back to Slovenia for a few months and come back in a a new tourist visa.

for Green Cards and, eventually, citizenship. Something that has been part of our system forever.

"Chain immigration" is a term that the R's have been using lately to make it sound like something bad and unfamiliar.

15. The USA and the EU have a recent new reciprocal agreement

If an EU citizen spends more then 90 days out of 180 cumulatively in the USA, they need a visa of some kind. Same for US citizens in the EU, except it applies to the Schengen area, so England, for example, had other rules. If a U.S. citizen spends more than 90 days in the space of half a year cumulatively in the Schengen area, they are supposed to get an EU residence, although it is not clear to me what the deal is if the US citizen is applying to live in Switzerland or Norway, which are in Schengen, but not in the EU.

In former times, all you had to do was spend less than 90 days consecutively in any one country, and you didn't need a residence visa, but that got tightened up sometime about ten years ago.
