Fargo newspaper to 'review' ban on same-sex engagement announcements

The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead is reviewing a publication policy in response to a controversy that arose online Monday evening.

The newspaper received multiple negative comments on its official Facebook page and an online petition was started after it refused to print a Fargo couple’s same-sex wedding announcement.

... In an official response, Forum Editor Matthew Von Pinnon said the rule is under review.

“The Forum is reviewing its policy about publishing same-sex announcements,” Von Pinnon said. “This is the second such request in recent months. We will communicate a decision once it’s made.”

The Fargo Forum is a Republican, family owned newspaper. Part of the Forum Commutations, comprised of radio, TV and newspapers. In the area the Forum (newspaper) is known as the Fargo Fool'em and have been for well over 50 years.
Some of their editorial pieces are legend, as reality free dreck, written at the journalism class 101, junior high level.
