So Trump is going to testify under oath. I think things are coming to a

head. Melania probably laid down the law and said, "You lied to me about this prostitute so you need to stop lying. Prove to me you will never lie again and testify under oath or I will leave you and testify against you myself."

But an oath means nothing to the Orange Jesus of the Teabagger's Cult.

Also Melania only cares about the terms of her pre-nup.

She knows her place. I realize that sentiment is not a popular one right now, and I'm in no way saying I agree with it. But I have no doubt that she is in no position to be making any demands of her hubby. I'm sure he has the goods on her, and would treat her very unkindly should she decide to cross him.

She now must be the good little wife, standing forever behind her husband. She made her bed, now she must lie in it.

On the plus side, I think she's being able to carry on with her own side affairs, so I'm sure she doesn't want to rock that boat.

Round 2 will be money laundering.
Round 3 will be election rigging.
Round 4 will be treason.

This will not be drip-drip-drip-drip. This will be a series of increasingly forceful blasts from a fire hose.

10. Melania laid down the law?

There are several holes in that theory.

1. The idea that Melania is a "wife" who can lay down any law for her husband. She is a trophy wife, really nothing more than a long term escort.

2. There is no law but Donnie's law, and he makes it up as he goes.

3. It's a near certainty that Melania knew all about the dozens of other women he was doing after they got married. She was pleased that there were so many willing idiots who could divert his attention away from her.

for calling her a gold digger. Last month, I saw someone else use that same term on here and get applauded for its accuracy. Look, if she was unaware of his philandering over the last thirteen years (which I find extremely difficult to believe), then she certainly knows about it now. Yet, she is not speaking out against him, nor is she taking any steps to divorce him. Of course she struck a deal with dear husband. Of course it involved a large sum of money. The only real question is, How long ago did she strike this deal? You say it was before moving into the WH. I contend it was further back. And who is to say there haven't been multiple deals all along just to keep her by his side for the sake of appearance?

It is what it is. A woman deliberately marrying up in terms of social status and income.
Some might call it a brilliant match, others might call it a gold digging.

But, perhaps people don't like the term gold digger, because it has a
pejorative tone to it. And yes we get blasted sometimes for stating the obvious
facts in a situation, the reason(s) for that is another discussion, but probably not permitted.

We know that Trump abuses her at least verbally, and the marriage is not a good one.
We have a video tape of the abuse during the inauguration and reports of quarrels during the inauguration as well.

Prior to the election the marriage was headed for divorce, and both Melania and Trump were leading separate loves, having affairs, etc.

I do not believe Melania was unaware of Trump's affairs. She knew about them. I think deals were struck along the way. But there was a big deal after the election as her demeanor and behavior did a 180.

A well known respected journalist let it slip on one of the Sunday morning talk shows that Trump's wife #4 was waiting in the wings. She did not say it exactly like that but her meaning was quite clear. We have strong rumors about who this woman might be.

It has also been widely reported that Melania had an ongoing and open affair with one of Trump's security guards.

We have ample evidence of Trump's infidelity.
We have evidence of his abuse of her.

Look for the video tape of an incident at the inauguration.
Melanie is sitting behind Trump at one of the events.
She is smiling broadly. Trump turns around and says some things to her,
we don't know what. But she immediately looks like he sucker punched her in the gut.
Her face falls and she looks devastated. I have some ideas about what he said to her.
But it is just speculation. I also believe it is not the first time he has been verbally abusive to her.

We also have evidence from Trump's first wife that Trump was physically and emotionally abusive to her. Wife #2 does not speak highly of how she was treated by Trump.

The data is out there about their relationship.
You just have to connect the dots to make a clear picture.
Not at all difficult in the case of this marriage.

this from snopes
Although some social media users claimed that the video was playing backward and that Trump had actually blown a kiss to his wife in an attempt to make her smile, this footage does not appear to have been altered.

The moment captured above occurred during Reverend Franklin Graham’s prayer at the inauguration ceremony and can be glimpsed at the 2:52:05 mark of the following longer video segment:

Although the video clip is authentic, claims that it captures Donald Trump speaking harshly to Melania are merely conjecture. There is no way to tell what Trump said to his wife (not even through lip reading, since his back was turned to the camera), nor has Melania offered an explanation as to why she reacted the way she did.

From a different angle (seen at the 1:21 mark in the video below), it looks as though Trump’s remark might have been addressed not to his wife, but to his son Barron, who was talking and fidgeting behind him:
It’s possible that Melania was simply weighing the importance of her new role, that she was unhappy about standing in the rain, that she was reacting to her son’s behavior, or that her change of expression was due to something unrelated to the inauguration or her husband’s comments.

Might not be stated outright, might not be a conscious thing.

But in Trump's case, he appears to like stunning trophy wives.
And the women marry up in terms of status and wealth.
The couple strikes a bargain from the beginning.

Prediction: he will lie under oath. Then, when he's charged for it, he'll retroactively claim executive privilege.

And McConnell, Ryan et al will scramble to justify it.
