"That is a red line that cannot be crossed"..meaningless in the Vulgarian's reign

We've got to come up with a better harder stronger line. This old chestnut means nothing these days. And thanks to the Vulgarian it never will again....

That "red line" was a journalists' question trying to ramp up drama during a Trump interview. Since then others have been jabbing him with it, running a real risk that they could push him, for instance, into firing Mueller or bombing NK.

There is a real danger in underestimating Trump's volatility. We know his usual reaction to being crossed is to become enraged and double down on whatever is drawing disapproval. One of "Chuck and Nancy's" big strategies has been to maneuver him into doubling down against his own party.

As for "never again," bad governments precipitate reform. What was the New Deal but backlash against 50 years of growing inequality and exploitation?
