Has anyone noticed Trump never mentions this, in regards to his wall?

What good is this big "magnificent" wall, if drug gangs just go UNDER it?

Road crew uncovers tunnel near Mexico border in Texas

EL PASO, Texas (AP) — The U.S. Border Patrol says a road construction crew has uncovered an abandoned tunnel in Texas, just north of the border with Mexico.

Agent Oscar Cervantes says the tunnel was discovered Thursday near downtown El Paso. It is about 25 yards (23 meters) long. Cervantes said Friday that there's no indication the tunnel goes into Mexico.

The cartel ran a tunnel across the border and the front was a clothing store where the tunnel ended.

It keeps his gullible base happy, and distracts them from the fact that his economic policies are going to hammer them.

It's also pretty horrifying to think that he's got no problem spending $25 billion taxpayer dollars simple to boost his approval rating.

Look at his history. This thing is a money laundering, bribe, and corruption dream. Any project that large is perfect for all three.

The whole thing was stupid. I can't believe people actually bought the stupidity of the idea of the wall.

In the vastness of the dessert (where the coyotes make their money) somonemcould simply heave drugs over via catapult - which has been done in prisons - or coordinate drone flights and drop offs.

As I posted elsewhere here - this whole thing stinks of at lease corruption and bribes let alone money laundering.

Just Google the wall and you can see that ecosystems will be destroyed, ranches from generations of families will be destroyed, and even the University of Texas, Brownsville will have some of its campus on the south side of the wall. This will mean American students will have to show passports to attend class.

What's to stop Mexico from commandeering the land south of the wall?

Which is pretty much why human beings gave up on border walls around the time of togas.

in the last census, about 25% of Florida was born outside of the US...
As an educator, the actual proportion of immigrants is hard to count, but about a third of my students are bilingual.

One in five Florida residents is an immigrant, while nearly one in eight is a native-born U.S. citizen with at least one immigrant parent.
In 2015, 4.1 million immigrants (foreign-born individuals) comprised 20.2 percent of the population.
Florida was home to 2 million women, 1.8 million men, and 219,060 children who were immigrants.
The top countries of origin for immigrants were Cuba (22.8 percent of immigrants), Haiti (8.3 percent), Mexico (6.8 percent), Colombia (6 percent), and Jamaica (5 percent).
In 2016, 2.5 million people in Florida (12.5 percent of the state’s population) were native-born Americans who had at least one immigrant parent.

Most days, I also see people from Europe or SA or the Orient (Poland, Turkey, Greece, Korea, Philippines, Brazil, Argentina are common) who come in on boats and planes and simply stay. There are probably many more dreamers with a family of mixed documented and undocumented than anything else. No one is going to put the genie back in the bottle.

In 25 years here, I can't remember a class without someone who was a "dreamer" or "anchor baby". I have seen a number of tragic deportations that seem more like random harassment than anything else. Hypocrite Rubio's parents were undocumented immigrants.

I don't think there is a plan to put a wall on all the beaches in Florida...

Employers know full well they are hiring undocumented people, and they take advantage of them. The GOP simply doesn't want to kill their cash cow, so they won't provide a path to citizenship. It has nothing to do with walls or security or criminals.
