Following a bombshell Wall Street Journal report that included accusations of sexual misconduct and harassment, Las Vegas mogul Steve Wynn announced that he was resigning as finance chair of the Republican National Committee.

Meanwhile, in the aftermath of the explosive allegations, Democrats have tried to make hay over the issue. Noting that conservatives had tied Harvey Weinstein around Democrats’ necks and asked if Dems were going to return Weinstein’s political contributions following his sexual misconduct accusations, Democrats have turned the tables on Republicans regarding Wynn.

Fox News decided to tackle this matter today in a rather interesting way. Noting that there have been “calls for Republicans to return money given by embattled casino mogul Steve Wynn,” anchor Leland Vittert stated that a “Fox News investigation shows the former RNC fundraising chair also gave to Democrats.” We then got a rundown of Wynn’s contributions to various Nevada Democratic campaigns and organizations over the past 12 years, with Vittert noting that the amount he gave to Dems over that time totaled $700,000.

“So far the state party has not returned our calls or e-mails for comment,” Vittert added.
