New poll shows London Breed way out in front in SF mayors race

San Francisco Chronicle:

San Francisco’s progressives had good reason to fear that London Breed’s status as acting mayor would give her an advantage in the June election — in fact, it may already have done so.

A new Chamber of Commerce-commissioned poll shows Breed leading former state Sen. Mark Leno and fellow Supervisor Jane Kim by a better than 2-1 ratio for first-place votes in the ranked-choice election.

Breed clocked in with 33 percent of first-place picks, to 16 percent for Leno and 15 percent for Kim, in the David Binder Research poll of city voters.

Former Supervisor Angela Alioto and Republican businessman Richie Greenberg each received 6 percent, and 19 percent of respondents were undecided, according to the survey.

Mark Leno has a lot good will built up throughout the city. I will get tighter over the next few months.
