Mueller Firing Pledge

Experts believe that there is a good possibility that Trump will fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

If Trump fires Mueller, we want to be ready to take the streets to protest within hours to demand that Congress respond quickly and forcefully to protect our democracy and justice system.

Pledge to attend a rapid response rally if Mueller is fired as special counsel!

After you pledge, you will be sent to a map where you can find an event near you or sign up to host your own!

The media will applaud him.

And there will be less people attending the protest than those who protested
when Panera Bread put 5% less turkey in their turkey sandwiches (that didnt
happen but you get my point)

People are apathetic. Im guessing most people will have no idea who Mueller is,
but they have seen that poodle from Ohio that can tap dance.

has alienated every major network except Fox. CNN and MSNBC run 24/7 Trump-Russia coverage. So no, "realistically" the "media" will not cheer him.

The only reason the country hasn't gone up in flames already is because people are holding on to the shred of hope symbolised by the Mueller investigation that the rule of law still exists in this country. When that shred goes, so does any semblance of belief for that 58% that the coup in progress will be resolved any way other than blood on the streets.

The two women's marches didn't accomplish anything.
Puerto Rico is still in tatters.
Demonstrations at GOP orrices haven't swayed a single Congresscritter.
Dreamers are still being deported.
The horiffic tax cut for the uber wealthy and the corporations passed inspite of a large majority of citizens were against it.
The rollbacks in Medicare and Medicaid passed with large majorities against it.
The GOP doesn't give a damn about the voters, only their mega-doners who pull their strings.

in a district that went for Trump by 28 points last year.

Demonstrating keeps up the energy, momentum and visible resistance that we need going into the 2018 midterms.

I appreciate that the last year can be a bit depressing, but I'm seriously running out of patience with people throwing cold water on acts of resistance. They need to be daily and massive. What's the use?

1. They provide encouragement to people so they know that they are not alone
2. They alert swing and non-voters that something is going on that they should be paying attention to
3. They let Congress know that they will be held accountable to their constituents
4. They annoy Trump and cause him to tweet more self-incriminating crap
5. They build local networks that support D candidates and GOTV efforts
6. They give the media something to talk about and keep Trump's and Congress's crimes in the news cycle for a few extra days

Even if you can't be bothered yourself, the least you can do is not actively work to dissuade people from attending because at a certain point that starts to meld into carrying water for the other side.

Thousands of women have signed up to run for political office -- as Democrats.

Showing up at Repub congressmen's local offices week after week has caused more than one to decide to retire.

Our actions have given heart to Democratic office holders.

The list goes on and on.

We hold a minority of seats in Congress, but that is about to change.

By the way, thank you so much for your moral support.

Showing up at Congressional Offices week after week - that's something
Lobbying Congresscritters - that's something.
Sending letters and making phone calls - that's something.
And, by the way, I have shown up at Congtressional Offices, made phone calls and sent letters.
I worked as a volunteer for Hillary.

A big march is a flash in the pan. It makes the evening news and then is over. It is the day in and day out stuff that may have some impact. GOTV is much more important.

And you have my absolute moral support.

It is our job to get rid of them through the ballot box.

The USSC is the most corrupt in History, and that is saying something because the Rehnquist Court installed Bush. They allowed money to be poured into our elections so the wealthy hold all the cards.

We have not really had Democracy in a long time. Republicans refused to do anything to help President Obama. Republicans hounded Clinton until they finally got him on a sex charge.

We have no Teddy Roosevelt’s or FDR’s.

GW Bush actually Lied us into war against a country that did not attack us,looting the Treasury and killing thousands of our young. For those who remember Vietnam,we are at that point now. Nothing was done.

Now we have corrupt Republicans attacking our FBI and Justice Department, following a slug of a man who is corrupt, ignorant, determined to destroy our country.

Sorry for the rant but am I wrong?

Just like the Iraq war. And I am really fearing another as Trump sinks lower and is exposed

will ask Mr. Mueller for a interim report with support/background data. This request will have a deadline, let's say 1 week. Neither of this is an unreasonable request. But it will be the administrations way to force the issue. If all of our ducks are in a row then it's good night. It will give us time to get prepared. Code Yellow for right now, code Red once the request for the progress report is made.

He knows his damned party and the right wing noise machine will back him 100% in his lawless objective.

So who's going to stop him? The fucker broke the law yesterday and I see no effects against our dictator at all for that so...yeah.
