Now would be a great time for Mueller to unseal his indictments against Carter Page

We all know that "the memo" is about to be released, with all its concomitant feigned indignation over inequities in the DOJ and the FBI. At the center of this so-called controversy is Rod Rosenstein's signing off on a renewal of a FISA warrant against Carter Page. The argument will be that Carter Page, as a member of Troup Trump, was unfairly singled out and therefore there is a left wing conspiracy afoot at DOJ and FBI.

On the other hand, if Bob Mueller was able to publicly unseal his indictment(s) against Page TODAY, so that the world can see exactly what he has been charged with, it would have the effect of blunting the impact of the release of "the memo".

Yes, I'm assuming that there are sealed indictments against Page, but based on what has been reported, it seems very likely that this could be the case. The FBI has literally been following this guy around for years.

At this point, it truly feels that we are on the precipice. Help us, Robert M. You're our only hope.

1. Mueller’s reputation is that of a guy who goes by the book, so indictments will come forth when the time is right from a legal standpoint, not a political one.

But more to the point:

2. Anyone who falls for this phony “memo scandal” is going to automatically assume an indictment is part of the same scandal. The willful idiots will point to it as outright proof of the scandal. So there’s no point in trying to combat that.

When our (Adam Schiff's) response has been blocked by Congressional Republicans and contains potentially classified information that Democrats are too responsible to release unredacted?

You assume that unsealing the case against Carter Page now is not the right time. Perhaps it is. Perhaps it can be done without damaging the larger investigation or showing Mueller's hand.

Make no mistake. Bob Mueller does not exist within a vacuum. He is quite cognizant of the political machinations that are currently threatening our country. I don't think that politics drives his decision-making, but it certainly factors into the process.

like Feinstein did her committee's, and ensure that it has been vetted by the IC (including any redaction).

Mueller is most likely keenly aware of the chaos swirling right now confirming someone(s) is(are) being "cornered", which was expected, so being "reactive" to that is the worst thing to do because he most likely has other things running in the background that requires certain sequences to happen first.

I have the utmost respect for Robert Mueller. I trust he will do the the right, and the appropriate, thing at the right time.

Godspeed to you, Mr. Mueller.

I think the memo is phony. So do you. And so do all of our elected leaders. So why are we worried about it?

The only people we should focus on are those who are looking at this rationally. (In other words, not Trump’s base and not Fox viewers.)

Hell, at this point it might be best to BEG Trump to release it, and the political leaders on our side can do something like this:

-Explain that the Republicans refused to release the Democratic memo. And why? Because they’re afraid of it.

-But that’s fine for now, because: “The memo is a politically-driven document that will be totally discredited as Special Counsel Mueller proceeds with the investigation, which the Republicans are going to great lengths to thwart, which should make every fair-minded American suspicious.”

-Repeat and stress: “The Republicans are afraid to release the Democratic memo; the Republicans are afraid to let the investigation play out. Why? What are they covering up?”

Again, that’s how I think we could deal with this politically. Mueller isn’t going there. There’s nothing in his long career to suggest that he will.
