Happened to be at a financial services company today. Two men walked into the room where I was working and were talking about their upcoming vacations. One mentioned a beach, the other said he was going to Vegas. He looked old enough to have kids outta the house so Vegas made sense. He was dressed casually and looked like someone’s nerdy dad.
Then he said, “I’m going to book the Wynn. Gotta help take care of our guy.”
The other man looked uncomfortable but said it would probably be cheap due to the scandal.
I think I actually froze because I realized after a moment that the men were gone and a woman was speaking to me. I could kinda believe the second guy - I’m frugal as hell - but wow. “Gotta take care of our guy.”
More than just Trump could shoot someone on Fifth Ave and be considered blameless, they all could. I still cannot believe it.
