Any predictions on the impact?
I predict a flash in the pan. A day or two of coverage until the next "Breaking News".

(182,772 posts)They are getting a daily update of how much it destroys Mueller and the investigation.
The rest of the media will probably follow suit with some mention of actual facts.
Legally? I have no idea.

(52,196 posts)here in the real world, it will be laughed at, an obvious concoction of wishful fantasy on the part of desperate republicans eager to spin their way out of accountability for serious felonies.
democrats in the know will explain how it's all bollocks.
meanwhile, donnie and the gang, along with goading from foxnews, will use it as justification to apply further pressure to the investigation and investigators, forcing someone else to resign or something. maybe they'll actually indict mueller or others. or at least open a congressional investigation into supposed misdeeds in the office of the special counsel.

(844 posts)Just like last time he tried this play with info provided by a whistle blower that turned out to be Trump staffers. They are asking the same questions now, if Nunes had WH help in writing the memo , and they dont want to answer from Nunes or the WH side. Seems to me it could be a longer, slower version of the same fail. Of course it also has the added factor of upsetting the FBI

My guess is that Trump asked Nunes to attain and sift through FBI documents in order to cherry pick "evidence" of a "crime".
Trump would then ask Sessions to indict members of the FBI, perhaps even Mueller himself.
