I don't get it.
DENVER (AP) Firearms sales are surging in the wake of the Colorado movie massacre as buyers express fears about both personal safety and anti-gun lawmakers who might use the shooting to seek new weapons restrictions.
In Colorado, the site of Fridays shooting that killed 12 and injured dozens of others, gun sales jumped in the three days that followed. The state approved background checks for 2,887 people who wanted to purchase a firearm 25 percent more than the average Friday to Sunday period in 2012 and 43 percent more than the same interval the week prior.
Do these people honestly believe they can go around with loaded guns in the style of "Wyatt Earp" and save themselves and everyone around them.
I believe that many of these buyers are delusional wannabe heros that will only get others killed.

(1 post)It doesn't matter to me. My individual rights aren't being violated by anyone else buying guns (or the lack of thereof).

(15,396 posts)My wife finally decided to get her CHP a few weeks ago, and now wants her own firearm. So we're going to find something for her. She wants a airweight or lady smith, I've always been an auto fan so I don't have any revolvers. We borrowed a neighbors charter arms 38 for her to shoot. I think she'll be more comfortable with reduced recoil loads, she thought the recoil was a little much.
I want to get the family another 22 target pistol. We've had so much fun shooting the SR and MKII the past few weeks everyone want's a more accurate pistol.
This was not in the plans, I wanted a 22LR upper for my new AR lower, but it looks like the wife and kids demands are going before mine.
