The Senate will vote TODAY at 2:15PM EST on S. 3412, the Reid bill to allow most of the Bush tax cuts for the richest 2% to expire (similar to President Obama's tax plan). The plan would extend the Bush tax cuts for one year on household income under $250,000.
People who earn over $1 million a year get an average tax break of $143,000 from the Bush tax cuts.
People making about $50,000 a year get an average tax break of about $1,000.
