We are getting a health insurance premium rebate!

It's through our employer, and I don't know what the entire rebate will be, or how it will be distributed, but it makes me happy to know that they couldn't rob us with excessive premiums!

If so, I should be in for a whopper from my greedy insurer.

I have my own insurance and it's not the greatest, but at least the premiums are affordable. Wonder if I'll be getting a rebate...?

Most large employers though have self funded (versus fully insured) plans that do not qualify for the rebates.

8. We pay about half of our premium, IIRC.

The employer pays the rest. They get to decide how to pass the savings on, but there are regulations defining their options.

My insurance premiums were cut because I was able to get better coverage with a cheaper plan.

Instead of a plan that gave only 75% coverage, $2000 deductible, and cost $400 per month,

I only pay $226 per month, for 95% coverage, and a $500 deductible.

Single-payer all the way.

It works in France and helped propel them to the #1 healthcare system in the world.

We can do it here!
