They are saying now that maybe 40 staffers are working without clearance. I see that Trump is running a severely empty administration by design , and because they cant find people who want the jobs. So with both of these things being true whats the percentage of overall WH staff running around without clearance? Is it 1 in 5, 1 in 4 or even as many as half the total workforce?

(29,194 posts)but that would include hundreds of civil servants at the OEOB (whatever they are calling it these days) plus butlers and maids and cooks and so on.
Of the people that change out with each administration... (not including the agencies and departments) probably 200 or so... so 40 is a large number.

(16,646 posts)If you are talking about political staff. There are a tremendous amount of civil servants but I don't think you mean those folks. But more to the point I think you are after, if you mean how many have any sort of regular access to the president, or the Oval, I'd bet it's more on the 50 - 60 side, but some of those are cabinet or DoD staff.
