Tone deafness on steroids

Sometimes you just have to gag.

From the brief notice in today's newspaper, there's this gem (emphasis added) :

The open house will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Elks Club and the 116th anniversary of Greeley's lodge, 3061 29th St. All residents are welcome, and the club will raffle off a Glock 15 handgun and donate the proceeds to its kids' foundation.

Makes me think of my town's 4th of July celebrations, where traditionally the Democrats have raffled off a lawn tractor and the Republicans have raffled off a gun.
