I think the GOP will use school shootings to undermine public education
That push has been ongoing for decades now but it’ll be interesting to see if they attempt to use these incidents to make the case public schools can’t be secured, have passed their point of relevancy, need to be “re-imagined” etc. this will come after the tears dry and the spotlight is off. It will emanate from state legislatures with ALEC walking them through the steps.
They want public ed eliminated in favor of elite private schools and Christian madrassas where they can control what is taught.

1. Mass child murders by gun, not "school shootings". RW uses that phrase to sanitize.

3. Totally agree. They DO support school massacres by supporting NRA. How many see them as positives??

4. I agree . Also public teachers unions portrayed as uncaring or cowards for fighting against
the training and arming of class room instructors .
Also don't forget the masses that believe this is only happening because daily Christian prayer is absent. The move for moving tax money to more vouchers could occur Stay strong No BS |

5. So poor peeps...
So poor peeps can't give their kids a decent education. NOT cool, not viable.
The only way around this is for the government to pay for public schooling and its security. I'm amazed I'm saying this, but if this is what it takes for our kids to be safe, then so be it. I'm a firm believer in a strong milifary, but enough already with the overruns on new projects. Screw the F35, screw the V22 Osprey, and screw the new King Stallion helos at a cost of $120mm each. More money for SAFE education of kids, less money for the fatcat contractors. |
