Well hit home..kid arrested with gun at my daughters high school

Making threats to another boy.

School sent out recorded message he was arrested without incident. My daughter says most did not even know until after school.

2. Glad everything is ok! I was subbing when I overheard in the

office that there was a bomb threat at my kids' high school. I was able to reach them via Facebook and they were ok, but I think in the confusion elder son missed the bus home.

I work in a school. I have one high school and one college kid. Mass Carnage is always in the back of my mind.

This is a very, very affluent suburb. They haven't found anything; probably a copycat threat made by some bored rich kid. But obviously it has to be looked into.

5. Happened twice since Parkland here in MO.

Once was a copycat threat days after Parkland. Word was sent out that the student had been arrested and admitted to seeking attention...but had threats to use fire alarm to get evacuation to central location and then shoot like Las Vegas from hidden location with sight lines.

Second was a suspicious vehicle found yesterday to have guns and unidentified white substance...ATF was called in on this one...turned out to be relative of a student's car as official story...neither became an active shooting but the proximity to home for me (my oldest son is a freshman at the school ) is way too much for us...

The kid was apparently frightened of a shooting and wanted protection.
