Michelle Obama Tweet honoring courageousness of the Florida kids

Michelle Obama

@MichelleObama
I’m in total awe of the extraordinary students in Florida. Like every movement for progress in our history, gun reform will take unyielding courage and endurance. But @barackobama and I believe in you, we’re proud of you, and we’re behind you every step of the way.

She's like the Good Witch Glenda, telling us to click our heals and say "there's no place like home."

Read the story of The White Rose and the courage of young people against Nazi Germany.

“In today’s time, “ordinary” women such as Malala Yousafzai have stepped up to fight for their own causes. I have heard plenty express their ideas and desires for a better future, but never take initiative because they believe they are “too young.” But the only requirement is to take initiative, no matter when, what, or how old you are, and start a movement…just as Sophie told the court while deciding her fate:
“Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don’t dare express themselves as we did.”

http://www.dw.com/en/sophie-hans-scholl-remain-symbols-of-resistance/a-16605080

”How can we expect righteousness to prevail when there is hardly anyone willing to give himself up individually to a righteous cause,” Sophie said. ”Such a fine, sunny day, and I have to go,” she continued, ”but what does my death matter, if through us thousands of people are awakened and stirred to action?”
”The White Rose is a radiant page in the annals of the 20th Century. The courage to swim against the stream of public opinion, even when doing so was equated with treason, and the conviction that death is not too great a price to pay for following the whisperings of the conscience,” writes Chris Zimmerman in The White Rose: Its Legacy and Challenge.
"We will not be silent. We are your bad conscience. The White Rose will not leave you in peace!"

The idea the the cost of our 'freedom' is the blood of our children and grandchildren is just despicable.

Gun reform is something we all need to be supporting with every fiber of our being.

Children cannot die any more for the sake of corporate greed.
