I know there are sites where the information can be dug out, but, as a public service,

could someone or some group create a site specifically to identify candidates who accept contributions from the NRA, directly or indirectly?

I think a lot of folks would be interested and it would be a good resource for those of us who write LTEs to our local papers.

Some people forget not everyone sits in front of their keyboard all day and see every post. I come here a few days a week, certainly not every day.

We have our grumpy nasty people just like every other group. I"m sorry this response was so nasty. You can put people on ignore, I have done it more in the last two years than I can remember. I don't need the negativity of some folks here.

Assuming everyone here is watching the same TV program at the same time or checking in at DU at the same time and as frequently.

I didn't know about the site so I learned something. These are the kind of things we should all know. The information is spread by us so why not ask about it? Being armed with information is how we win.

Using Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) as an example:

https://www.opensecrets.org/members-of-congress/pacs?cat=Q13&catlong=Gun+Rights&cid=N00002221&cycle=2016&seclong=Ideological%2FSingle-Issue§or=Q

Opensecrets.org tells us that he received $9,900 in campaign contributions from the NRA in 2016, but unless I'm missing something, it doesn't indicate that the NRA "... spent $5.6 million on ads attacking his Democratic challenger, Deborah Ross. Over the years, the group has spent $1.4 million on ads supporting Burr... (from http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/lawmakers-nra-money/story?id=53230001).

I'd guess that you could find the information from the FEC website, but I'd be interested in knowing of any other sources.
