From a teacher: Arm her.

I am a teacher. Arm me. Arm me with funding for a full time school Psychologist. Arm me with funding and mandatory school counselors. Arm me by funding smaller class sizes so I can best get to know every one of my 160 students and their families. Arm us with what we NEED.

teens, some of their parents, their teachers and all of us who have waited YEARS to stomp the SHIT out of the nRa.... as more parents, college kids, companies, grandparents, frickin dogs and cats get behind these young people it's going to be the late 60s and early 70s and Nam protests all over again. I was there then in USMC boots and I have even better shoes for marching now.

Our school staff was cut in half between 1999-2004. No nurses, librarians, aides, custodians, PE teachers, counselors, support staff, gardeners, maintenance and low seniority teachers and we never got them back. The remaining staff had no COLA increases for 5 years, our benefits co-pays tripled and we were still pink slipped every year and told to be grateful. Add the "routine" active shooter drills and no computers or printers and you understand why no one wants to teach anymore. Our union couldn't make much headway either. And guess who had to take over the work of all the positions that were cut?! I was working 50-60 hour weeks and usually had to work while sick since they wouldn't hire substitutes. Now I am permanently ill and can't teach.

Kill the Teachers Unions here. We handed him his head with 1.3 million signatures and defeat at the Ballot Box.

Lately the Republican Legislature wanted to pass a RTW law. Leaders tole them Kasich would never sign it.

He accepted Medicare and is now very moderate. Republicans will never elect him.

That really is the province of the parents. Even if they want to, schools don't live with the kids or have control over their lives. There's only so much they can do.
