Jane Fonda played a GREAT role as CEO/owner of a company that owns the network and is giving them HELL about picking on (by name!) the Koch bros. and the Tea Party. "I have BUSINESS before that Congress."
You just know this is exactly what's played out and why the 'liberal' media puts the crap out that they do and slants what passes for 'news.'

(24,331 posts)There have been some sour moments, and overall I don't think it's as good as "Studio 60" was straight out of the gate. But then S60 was something special, pitch perfect from the first minute to the last. Still, I think The Newsroom is doing well. I would compare it to the early first season of The West Wing, when they were still getting their feet under them in terms of tone, characterization, and the right balance of idealism versus realism.
