He comes off as so normal compared to so many other politicians and he smiles a lot like Obama does.

3. Ive always believed he has higher upside than Julian
Nothing against Julian but I never got why he was always the Castro brother mentioned first when it came to running for President. Joaquin is in congress which trumps being mayor of San Antonio IMO.

5. Both julian and joaquin are building impressive careers...both
Last edited Wed Feb 28, 2018, 12:46 AM - Edit history (2) ..reflect the best of the Democratic Party, America-- as does Obama, H.Clinton, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren and Tammy Duckworth, as well as many other qualified, knowledgeable and ethical liberal leaders that are out there everyday, fighting the good fight.
As for Julian Castro, I had forgotten that he was mayor of San Antonio from 2009-2014; resigned in 2014 to work with Obama administration; and served as the 16th United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President Barack Obama from 2014 to 2017. ( Wikipedia ) |

6. I love Joaquin!
He has always impressed me and I go see him whenever I can when he is holding town halls here in SA. Last week he brought Nancy Pelosi here for a discussion on the republican tax scam haha.
Joaquin has always impressed me more than Julian. And just a side note the mayor of SA doesn't even has as much authority as most mayors in SA it all lays on the city manager. The mayor is just a figurehead basically. But on that note San Antonio's NEW mayor is MORE impressive than Julian ever was. He will be one to watch. |
