Rudy Ghouliani TV Ad for Experian Dark Web Scan

Experian Dark Web Scan TV Commercial, 'Experience' Featuring Rudy Giuliani

"Security Expert Rudy Giuliani warns that cybercriminals are scouring the dark web for people's personal information, including social security numbers and advocates for Experian's Dark Web Scan. Experian monitors the dark web globally so that it can alert customers when if their information is found on the dark web before criminals can act."

I saw this ad last week on a show I was watching.
It gave me the creeps.
Not the product but the actor selling it.

My first thought was, if Ghouliani's selling it, he must be invested in it somehow.

Creepy Rudy & the dark web commercial is a bit of an oxymoron.

Maybe he's still there.

Experian couldn't have found a 'darker' personality to sell their product.

if you were already on the dark web and I just knew that if I did that one time check, I would then be check mated as I would then be on the dark web. Glad to see my thoughts are confirmed with the presence of the ghoul.

I took a seminar on cyber-crimes and how they're investigated. In it, I learned that there is no such thing as a utility that can search the entire dark web looking for your information. Because of the way the dark web is set up, the only way to do that would be to visit each individual web address individually and search it by hand. Obviously, no one is going to do that. There is no such thing as a Google type program that will search the entire dark web, as it can't be done.

So Rudy is the spokesperson for a company that takes money from suckers and promises to do something it knows it can't do. Anybody surprised?

Thank you for this post.

The whole thing Rudy was selling is bullshit.
Figures.
