Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsFor over 5 years now, I've had a question that has yet to been answered.
Why exactly should I care if someone who wants an AR-15 can't legally buy one?
Since the immediate aftermath of Sandy Hook and watching people line up at gun shops and gun shows to buy that one particular weapon, that question has been burning on my mind and no one I've spoken with has ever given me a logical answer.
Why should I care about the well-being of a semi-automatic assault rifle being marketed to and sold to civilians? What exactly is the loss to society if such a weapon is no longer available?
I just honestly don't get it for the life of me.

(12,646 posts)Makes a man (or woman) feel alive to be mowing down targets with a semi-auto firearm.
With an AR-15 or semi-auto high capacity pistol, they can take on the Ruskies, or the North Koreans, or the Liberal Snowflake Brigade that's parachuting into their neighborhoods, closing down the churches and liquor stores, and forcing people to raise chickens in their backyards, recycle, gay marry and become gluten-free Vegans or some other such nonsense.
Because you know that's part of the master plan

Unfortunately, it's the people that DO care about AR-15s, that keep demanding access to them, and paying the NRA to lobby for them.

Target practice is one at a time and rapid fire will only cause accuracy to deteriorate.

You know damned well gun regulations are a slippery slope until we lose *ALL* our God-given rights.
