That, and the chubby he got in France when he was watching their Bastille Day parade. (The purpose which seemed to elude him; it celebrates the overthrow of the rich -- lots of guillotine action. If we included an operating guillotine in Trump's ego-fest I might change my mind.)

1. He told the generals to make it bigger than France's. He's talking about having military aircraft fly over New York City as well as D.C.

2. The military does NOT want to put on a parade because of loss of training time and money, logistics, optics.

3. If he gets his way this year, he'll want an even bigger parade next year, if he's still in office.
