So I email my senators and congressman every day.

I have done so since the shooting at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas school. Every day. Some suggest I should call them. I have trouble keeping the anger out of my voice so I choose to email. Some angry sounding woman on the phone is not good. Every day I get an automatic reply from Lamar Alexander's office. I have gotten two other responses that were essentially the same and said he was working on the mental health problem. Bob Corker has never responded. I remind him he does not have to campaign and raise money so he just do some good. Jimmy Duncan has never responded, he is not running either but he is generally worthless anyway.

I wonder if others who are contacting their members of congress are getting any meaningful responses.

The staffers regard people who email every day as a waste of time, especially if they are clearly on the other side of the fence from their boss.

If you email daily they will likely set up their systems to auctomaticlaly move your emails to spam after a short while.

What motivates politicians are emails from people they haven’t heard from or rarely hear from. Because they see someone who is rarely active enough to contact them who suddenly does as a more serious contact, someone with a new motivation.

The last time was when he voted for the tax giveaway that made him even richer.
