Walk out. Refuse to go back until they hold up their original bargain.

$6.9 million difference between 4% and 5%. That is NOTHING to the Rs. Take it from their NRA payments.

6. "Good Faith Negotiations" vs. "Bad Faith Negotiations"

Good Faith Negotiations require honesty on both sides.

When a state-wide employee group is negotiating with the state's highest elected official, one assumes they are negotiating in "good faith."

When the state's highest elected official personally steps in to reach a settlement, the assumption is that s/he is negotiating in "good faith."

Either the governor was negotiating in "bad faith," or he did not have the legislative backing he thought he had.

In either case, TRUST HAS BEEN BROKEN.

The teachers should not return to work until the contract is passed and signed.

When they realized that they had effectively passed the bill sent to the Senate from the House, they had to call the bill back because they had forgotten to insert their "fuck you" clause. The Senate then passed a revised bill with only a 4% raise. So, as usual when you hear of some shit-ass thing Republicans did, it's always worse than what you first heard.
