For the far right. They use guns to push an extreme right wing agenda.

can they cry, "wolf" to their members and expect them to pony up more money again?

There's not one word in that disgraceful cry for money about the massacres of school children, and the numerous other massacres that make people feel the necessity to control the type of weapons people can get their hands on. NOT ONE WORD!

There is absolutely no reason for an honest citizen to own a military style weapon that was designed to kill as many people as possible in the shortest amount of time! NONE! These types of weapon have no other purpose.

The delusionally paranoid NRA must be held accountable, and now is the time to make them back off of their never ending crusade to flood the U.S. market with enough of these weapons to fight a large-scale war.

This is a war of ideas......of sane, rational thought. Rational thoughts are something the NRA hasn't had in many, many decades.

At least any more than normal. I had to belong to the NRA to be able to belong to the local shooting range (their requirement), which I did for a few years (I like to target shoot). This is a normal fund-raising letter, at least for them. And if you think this is bad, you should read their editorials in their magazines.

And yes, they do this every month or so. And yes, their members are kept at a constant high level of insane, misinformed paranoia. This is how they keep them as a strong voting block. They keep telling them the 'evil commie, constitution hating, libtards' are coming for their guns and their freedom.

You should have seen them during the Obama years. Talk about paranoia.

...in the early 80s my grandfather sponsored membership for my hubby and BIL..Gpa was a dixie crat, hubby (still) is a dem and BIL was indy at the time ( tparty now). I just happened to read the NRA lit that came with the membership. At the time we were target practicing and doing recreational shooting with our pistols every weekend...so the NRA membership just seemed kind of..normal?

So I start reading the lit and its all fear mongering about anti hunting nuts and how they want to take guns away etc. I was appalled and it instantly insulted me and my intelligence.

So..... I think this is the ONLY message they have. Seriously have we heard any messaging about safe and responsible gun ownership? wasn't that what they started out being about? a loooooooooong time ago?
