Im so old.....

Im starting to realize how old im getting.


im so old that i can remember a time when if a president cheated with a porn star and paid her off that president would be done. his base would turn on him. he'd be run out of the presidency.


im so old that i can remember a time when it was the gop who hated the russians and it was the dems accused of being communist sympathizers

im so old that i can remember a time when the gop wouldnt even think about supporting a president with children from different women from three different marriages.

im so old that i can remember a time when people working in the white house would last longer than 6-8 months.

im so old that i can remember a time when the gop pretended not to be the party of white supremacy

im so old that i can remember a time when the gop claimed to care about the deficit and debt

im so old that i can remember a time when one major party wasnt colluding with foreign powers to steal an election.

im so old that i can remember a time when you might not even hear a word from the president for weeks on end.

im so old that i can remember a time when people actually respected United States Presidents.




man. it all seems like a year and a half ago.

His vulgarity alone disqualifies him for any public office. I can't believe almost half the voting population thought this man was qualified to run the country. We have lowered our standards so far, I feel like I drew the short straw of alternate realities.

And that "Camelot" stuff, just because a journalist called the Kennedy administration/White House "Camelot." Well, it was like Camelot in that there was a lot of infidelity going on.

Literally and their political worldview are often in agreement. I recall not long ago the effusive praises and adoration given Putin because of his homophobic policies. Despicably, the torture-all-enemies-of-god-crowd could not contain their glee.

Between the love of money and false morality of these Christofascist types have made getting in bed with oligarchs and bigots the paradigm of what Repugs are now.

Yeah-my OLD standards are beginning to show their age too.

I have met a lot of people and I know a lot of people who have been saying the same thing. I am going to die fairly soon and I just want to be able to see this entire party disappear and the Moron and all his crooked pals rot in prison and have all of their assets seized since they sold our country for personal greed. Adlai Stevenson was the first.

Rockefeller was thought to be the leading Republican candidate for President in 1964, but when he divorced his first wife and married his second wife, his chances for the nomination evaporated very quickly.

Only Adlai Stevenson, the Democratic Presidential nominee in 1952 and 1956, had been a nominee and been divorced before Rockefeller’s situation came along a decade later.

Politics is a favorite way that capitalists cheat. Capitalists don't just make money by bartering goods and services. They find sneaky ways to accumulate capital by manipulating the rules of law. I.e. they steal from other people. That is why they are called "vampires." And greedy capitalist vampires keep up on all the latest technology.

So, as IT comes up with new and more amusing gadgets, expect politics to get wilder and crazier.
