BY MAX GREENWOOD - 03/07/18 05:07 PM EST
Rep. Mark Sanford (R-S.C.) said on Wednesday that allegations that President Trump had an affair with adult-film actress Stormy Daniels were "deeply troubling."
Sanford also suggested that Republicans would respond differently to the claims if they involved a Democratic president, according to The Washington Post's Erica Werner, who posted Sanford's comments on Twitter.

"I believe that we need to recognize that everybody makes mistakes," Sanford said. "That having been said, what we can't do in the body politic is whitewash the past or be purely tribal in our thinking."
The Wall Street Journal reported in January that Trump's personal lawyer Michael Cohen had paid Daniels $130,000 ahead of the November 2016 presidential election in exchange for her silence about the alleged affair.

Then he resigned as governor, subsequently stood for election to the House, and a majority of North Carolinians in that district said, "Well, yeah! That's the sort of person we want representing us in Washington DC."

A Democratic President would get hammered for Months on Faux News, and the House would start Impeachment proceedings the second the story broke.

Mark is not casting shade on Trumps, he admires him too much. He just would like to know how Trump pulled pulled his crap off and Mark had to go out and ask for forgiveness and lost his wife.
