I made this analogy. If there was no sovereign and you had a crazy neighbor who threatened to annihilate you and your family would you give up your rifle ?

Unfortunately, this is American foreign policy (from both sides of the aisle) coming back to bite us in the ass. It is made breathtakingly worse by tRump, whose word cannot be trusted as far as his next breath.
