in the post-primary period. To continue posting users had to agree to that rule. Many did not.

However, it would appear that The Magistrate left prior to that injunction and his absence is entirely unrelated.

I think you had to agree to the ToS when DU went to the current version (DU3). So it looks like he never made the transition.

2014 was way after Obama's win in '08 and before the 2016 election ramped up.

I was thinking about the TOS of not bashing Democrats and Hillary that was implemented in 2016 when she was our Nominee.

I can't imagine the TOS in 2014 would be a problem for anyone.. there was plenty of bashing of President Obama back in those days.

I always made it a point to read his posts.

He was very polite with his sir's and ma'ams but was ruthless with his argumentation.

He is the kind of poster who makes you think.

He was practically the first person to welcome me to DU when I first joined.

I made it a point to read each of his posts. He was the epitome of the Gentleman Logician, and taught me much about agreeably disagreeing -- a skill that is all too rare in its evidence these days.

He is missed.

I’m heartened to know he was present someplace until late 2017.

He was polite, intelligent and vocal. Everything internet political discussion is not anymore.
