And there was an answer that I can't quite remember. But, there were episodes where the people/person counting couldn't even tell if The Rifleman was the killer of the Bad Guys because there was so much gunfire from many people and many directions. But the article concluded that The Rifleman was without any doubt the most violent western of all time if counting amount of dead is used as the conclusive stat. And it was only a half hour show.
