Sorry, but I will keep on beating this horse until Mittbot 2012 and Horsey Ann have gone home to whatever foreign nation has most of their money.

(53,661 posts)Although it's on a page for the Talk Radio Network, the name Clear Channel is still used there. I don't know if one bought out the other.
Clear Channel Radios KFXR, Dallas is looking forward to being the new home of the Michael Savage Nation. No matter what you think of Michael Savage and his opinions, he is always sure to stir things up and get people talking, says Anna DeHaro, Director of Operations, Clear Channel Radio, KFXR, Dallas, TX.

He isbeing carried on KFXR 1190 in Dallas/Fort Worth:
The Michael Savage Show -- 6 - 9 p.m.

He was bumped out of KLIF-A/Dallas, but let me know if he's been dropped by Clear Channel station KFXR 1190. He is being carried by Talk Radio Network but nothing to say he has been dropped by these others.

If you can find a link to show that he has been dropped by that Clear Channel station, I'll make that addendum when I post it, but until then, it stays as compiled by Occupy from John Klesewetter.
He's on the current schedule by the Clear Channel station, KFXR 1190. Although the referring link from Occupy doesn't mention Savage, he is being carried by Clear Channel.

Is their online schedule wrong, or are you saying the poster is wrong for some other reason?

(31,706 posts)...that are owned by Cheap Channel. They pay his syndicator...Talk Radio Network (not owned by Cheap Channel) for the show. That's not the same as the others who are syndicated and paid by Premiere...Cheap channel's syndication arm.
A simple wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Savage_Nation
And the Premiere Network's Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Premiere_Radio_Networks (no Michael Weiner or Savage in there)...
Thus Cheap Channel does not syndicate Savage's show...and he's heard on stations other than Cheap Channel ones. (KLZ Denver is owned by Crawford Broadcasting)...
He wasn't dropped by Cheap Channel since they never were his syndicator...

(53,661 posts)The terms syndication or affliliation doesn't matter to me, but it matters to you. The connections between the players still exists. He is still being advertised as being on Clear Channel in DFW. A difference in terms doesn't change that. Your addendum to the Occupy poster I'm posting to remind people of how they're connected thus reads:
____________________??? Just say so. And I'll add it.

(31,706 posts)...a very good and valid point. Only way to find out is for Mittens to release his tax returns so we see if he still retains any Bain stock. Remember, Bain bought Cheap Channel in 2007...5 years after the 2002 date most of us agree Willard left Bain. So I'd welcome if you or your occupy buddies could come up with proof that Willard still had Bain stock and/or some kind of say or control of the company.
If those Cheap Channel stations don't renew his lease some other station in the market will pick up the show. Yes connections exist but to say someone own something when in essence they're being leased is a big difference. If you're going to be an arbeiter of the truth then don't misrepresent.

(53,661 posts)Since you ignore the fact Savage is on Clear Channel but bring up that we don't know what he owns, the Cin.Ci. point remains.
Do you object to the others being on the poster?
We don't know. Him getting $100K a year for doing nothing but he won't say. Money hidden away on almost every continent.
No one knows exactly where the money is. Leasing or owing isn't the point about buying influence, which is what the OP is demonstrating and what the poster referred to.
What profits Mitt is the propaganda that gives the lie to what Mitt wants to do with this country and how they are poisoning the political consciousness of this country. In going to those links, there is a clear bias against Obama, Democrats and in favor of the ALEC and Koch plans. Mitt is part of the same cabal ideologically.
I have not claimed to be the arbiter of truth on DU, perhaps you can define one. Although you spell the word as arbeiter, which is a slave laborer for the Third Reich, so you may be going for something diferent here.
I asked simply for your addendum to what you are now claiming is my misrepresenting the truth, but you still won't say it.
I am asking you again, as I did before, and offering to add it, so what do want me to add to the end of that poster?

(31,706 posts)I pointed out a simple fact with links that Savage is NOT employed by Bain/Cheap Channel/Premiere. Some of their stations carry his show just as some of the Bain/Cheap Channel stations also carry Progressive talkers like Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann and Randi Rhodes. Thus by your assumptions are they also owned by the Mittens campaign?
Now...I said before and will say again (as I'm all but done on this thread) I would love to see direct financial connections between Bain (who purchased Cheap Channel and Premiere in 2007...5 years after Willard left Bain), Cheap Channel and Rmoney. The only place we'll see those are in his tax returns.
So go and play your occupy games. Not sure what the hell you're trying to accomplish...but best of luck in whatever...
Peace...
Put on your poster whatever you want...I was just pointing out the differences

(24,853 posts)So the State of California, which spends 2% of its budget on the UC system, donates money to political candidates that could be used to fund scholarships for students that otherwise couldn't afford to go to school and cities go bankrupt?? How in the FUCK is that acceptable or even legal?

(24,853 posts)It just seemed out of the realm of possibility that tax dollars could be spent for political purposes when the state is so far behind the eight ball.

(1,033 posts)Not the university itself. If you see any public institution listed, whether that's a public university, a branch of the military, the Department of Defense, whatever, that's how much money was donated by those employed by said institution, not the institution itself.
