Wow. Tillerson had every intention of staying, did not speak to Trump about this, and is unaware of the reason for his firing.

(13,035 posts)that's been clear from the start when he was running, even when we did not know much about the russians meddling. Now that we do know the idiot is an illegitimate POTUS, he is even more of a disgrace.

The folded arms are a dead-giveaway of some number of things, but these incidents must be considered in the context of the where, why and when. The most glaring is when he does so in one-on-one meetings (WH, both are seated, facing the press corp). He's uneasy to almost to an extreme whereby he's nervous about press questions that he can't really anticipate. Meaning he can't control the situation and fears Stormy, firings, Mueller's investigations questions.
In other contexts, note that those mock WH meetings where maybe 10-12 Cabinet or WH staff are the only ones sitting around a large conference table. Never saw any video of folded arms. Now, some contrast. When I think it was Diana Feinstein sat right next to him (gun discussion) he did fold his arms and not just once. He was afraid of that big bad woman and perhaps other Democrats in that room.
He's no deal-maker if any even mediocre poker player can 'read' him so well!

(5,810 posts)(And it will be revealed) it will be staggering. The people of this country are in for a rude awakening if they think the folks in Congress are there representing them. Nice concept but that ship sailed a long time ago.

(5,810 posts)we will be surprised. I guess the bigger surprise will be which parties are in the mix. Some Dems have probably sold us down the river, too. Sad to say. I just wish this ugly chapter in our history would end already. I am worn to a nub with the nagging feeling that were being lied to and robbed of everything every.single.day. And no one is putting a stop to it. Or at least informing us of what this is all about. We wait for dribs and drabs from Rachel Maddow and the latest thing from David Corn (and others) tying to figure this out and feeling more and more helpless and betrayed. I still hold out hope that there are enough honest people left that this debacle will end favorably and soon. I am not holding my breath but trying to fan the flames of a spark of hope.

(15,222 posts)Of course, his back. Dump is way too cowardly to have a nice sit-down conversation about pluses and minuses, faults and strengths before handing the prepared pink slip.
I wonder when Dump gets his pink slip from Pute. Will it be slipped into a can of diet coke? Or will Pute just poison all the fast food around merdelago?

(51,584 posts)for Putin wanting him fired? Mueller has tapes of Carter Page calling Nunes from Moscow during the transition telling him that Tillerson would be the new Sec of State before it was announced here. Jack Kingsten was also alerted in the conversations, emails, etc.

(2,500 posts)But wasn't Michael Isikoff and David Corn's book due out today? Not watching much news this morning now afternoon, but haven't heard any mention of the book during what little news I have seen. Trump is notorious for pulling a squirrel move and this feels kind of preemptive.
