I do not understand Repuke long game

Are they really in it to scoop as much as they can before they’re worn food and fuck be all to the rest of the nation?

This kow towing to Putin is getting down right scary.

The end of this glorious experiment could very well end before its 250th birthday

They can't waiver from what their followers hear everyday - and the chorus of nuts is growing - in face they have to make the right mouthwords regularly or they get washed away.

Their owners said "tax cut or stop calling me" so they started with the payoff and then cut everywhere they could to get back to the $1.5T (that's the amount they cut Medicaid and Medicare) so they didn't need 60 votes. The other money issue is that there is clearly foreign money flowing in directly or through front groups like the NRA.

There is no "long game"; it's whatever feels right or best at this fleeting moment.

3. the russian model. autocrats succeed by doling out fiefdoms. these days, it's gifts to the rich.

titans of industry can see government largesse headed their way.

they got the tax cut, but they can get more.

an autocrat can reverse a century plus of worker protections and benefits.
an autocrat can use the military and police to make bonanzas for business.
an autocrat can shift the courts to screw consumers and workers alike.

republicans have dollar signs in their greedy beady eyes.

they either can't see that this will destroy the country or they figure they can cash out for a profit and flee if need be.

industry figured the same thing in hitler's germany, in putin's russia, etc.

autocrats can stay in power a long time as long as industry leaders are happy. that's the scary part.

and donnie's hand-picked secretary of media will ensure that nothing to the contrary is ever reported.

and an armed revolution? don't count on it. donnie will pin an "america's militia" medal on anyone sporting a maga hat and a gun, and the rest of us won't stand a chance.

* Pack the judicial branch with right-wingers
* Dismantle the regulatory state
* Roll back civil rights progress
* Make government fail at all levels so it becomes unpopular

The world's oligarchs want 21st century feudalism on a global scale. No more of this representative democracy bullshit. They have all the money so they should get to make all the rules.
