"SNIP..........

The election between Democrat Conor Lamb and Republican Rick Saccone got underway at 7 Tuesday morning, and anecdotal word from pollworkers was that turnout was high for a special election.

At Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, a polling place in Pleasant Hills, turnout was approaching 25 percent by about 12:30 p.m.,

At the Castle Shannon Public Library, there were lines of voters when the doors opened at 7 a.m. A longtime volunteer said that during the presidential election, it took until noon to reach 30 voters. They reached that number by 8:15 Tuesday.

...

Overall this morning, a higher than normal number of voters had cast ballots at the church.

I do a 4 1/2 mile walk with the dog around the time the polls will be closing... (6 pm here in Mountain zone)...

That will have me moving faster to get home and get caught up! (one looks for motivation when possible )
