Russia warns of reprisals if UK acts over spy attack

Russia warned Britain on Tuesday to expect reprisals if it announces sanctions over the poisoning of a former double agent, as the US and other allies joined London in demanding answers on how a Soviet-designed nerve agent was used in the attack.

British Prime Minister Theresa May says Russia was "highly likely" to be behind the attack, giving Moscow until midnight Tuesday to provide answers on the March 4 poisoning of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia.

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov insisted "Russia is not guilty", saying it was ready to cooperate with Britain but complaining that its request for samples of the nerve agent had been rejected.

The Russian embassy said it had formally demanded the government allow a joint investigation, saying "without that, there can be no sense in any statements from London".

In the first sign of the practical implications of the growing diplomatic crisis, Russia threatened to bar all British media if British authorities banned the Kremlin-backed RT broadcaster.

British regulator Ofcom has warned it could review RT's licence if Russia were found to have been responsible for the attack on Skripal, who came to Britain in a 2010 spy swap.

If GB and Russia get into a shooting war - both refusing to use nukes, but going at it with conventional weapons in, say, North Africa ... would the Orange one deploy the US military?

He said he was sure he would.

I then asked him “on which side”? He said it depends on who the aggressor is. I said “wrong answer. We’re done here”.

And we’re losing. We had the installation of a Manchurian Candidate at the helm, and a traitorous Republican Congress refusing to do anything about it.

Recall that, a year ago, there were suspected Russian cyber-intrusions into nuclear power plants and our power grid. If the war goes hot, will they simply pull the plug? We live in dangerous times.

Somehow I don't think the Brits are going to spinelessly back down. When PM May addressed Parliament, she seemed to be getting agreement from the assembled legislators.

The US always took the lead in these matters, but we are abandoning our allies and telling them its 'every man for himself'.
This is NOT the American way. We are a beacon of freedom and hope of the world.

My verdict the same. TREASON

Since the chief traitor took over, I dont have to exaggerate anything.

For instance, a night shift assistant manager of a 711 convenience store knows more about business than he does.

For instance, your local elementary school PTA spokesperson is smarter, more mature and better at her job than Sarah Huckster.

In Carter and Reagan’s America. When Carter was president the news media aired primetime specials about how unprepared our military was. That scared the hell out of 8-9 year old me. And then later Reagan became president there was fear he wanted a war that would get us all killed. I think living under that I’ve always had a dislike for Russia that had little to nothing to do with communism, and more about how duplicitous they’ve been going back to WW2. They’re like Klingons from Star Trek IMO. Never turn your back on them.

Why are we tiptoeing around Russia? Oh wait, it’s Drumpf, the weakest leader this country has ever had.

Trump is the equivalent to Droopy Dog now, saying that it’s ok for Putin to punch him in the face and kick him in the nuts, because “Nnnnnn You’re right! We really deserved that!”

Russia could invade Poland, and Trump would sit there playing with himself.
