Dear Republicans, why do some of you still support Trump?

Look at VA, Alabama, and now PA, he's killing your chances at the polls? He has the reverse Midas touch. He's vulgar. He's incompetent. He runs a chaotic administration. He's under investigation. He paid off a porn star. He fires people at will. He's dumb. He's not really rich, and he's Putin stooge.

So, for the love of God, why do you still support him?

Hopefully he takes the whole party down with him, although I doubt that will happen. Too much power in the party to disappear.

Fox, Limpballs, Alex Jones, talk radio...

Trying to expand their base of voters to non-college educated whites.

The intelligent ones know that their supply side low tax big military message doesn't work with people who are educated and who will think about things, so they intentionally went after the low information voters. They thought that all they had to do was demonize Democrats.

Now they have to ride the tiger. They never thought the idiot conspiracy kooks would get their own leader and win the Presidency (or even more than a few House seats or Senate seats). It would be Bush or Romney taking the lead.

Oops.

It was only a matter of time, decades of cranking up 1/3 of the country into a crazed, detached from reality frenzy, with a nonstop drum beat of how they UNDER ATTACK, until the monster they created ate them.

Well said, that they are well past the point of just riding the tiger now ...

And that damn whale still isn’t conservative enough, so they need to keep throwing harpoons at it, no matter what.

They think "it's now our turn" to howl (I actually read that quote on the WaPo message boards some months ago). And they still cling to delusions like "He kicks ass" and "He can maybe make a deal with North Korea."

But by and large, it's fear of the inevitable demographic shifts that are occurring worldwide. This nationalistic backlash is running across Europe and yes, Russia. That fear should NOT happen in America, because we have *always* been the sum of our diverse parts. America should be in the vanguard of change and growth, not digging in and turning a blind eye while banging the bible.
