Don't kid yourself: This is going to get ugly. Like, walking dead ugly. Like Battlestar Gallactica

ugly.

The gop leadership is terrified. They've made their pacts with the devil and now it's clear they will lose control of all of the house committees, the hearings, the evidence, the subpoena power, and hot fecal matter is going to be making severe, constant, 360 degree contact with the environmental control system. Real soon.

They all took filthy russian oligarch money, and no one thought the idiot was going to win. Now, they're trapped, like wild animals and they're going to fight to the death.

If they skulk away with their tails between their legs that risks their lobbyist and board room appointments. They've leveraged everything for the big pay-out, and now it might never come.

Politics will cost you everything: Your friends, family, your soul. The only people they might have left are those who thought they'd sponge off the DC power elites. Once they're disgraced, ga-bye everything.

And their prospects are now so bleak, they're going to turn on each other. Remember the recent bond film Skyfall (Daniel Craig) with the evil ex-spymaster turned bad? He cleared out an entire island and set up the world's most sophisticated computer hacking array in the world? He told Bond a story about rats in a oil barrel: They crawled in and then couldn't get out, and ate each other, until there were only two rats left. But now, you could release those two, because now, they only ate rat. You had changed their nature.

I think our last standing rat may have yellow hair and half a brain, and nothing left to lose. He's facing jail time when the house overturns, and he knows it. He also knows he's already toxic, not just because of his womanizing and the porn star, but because he disappointed Vlad: No oil deal in siberia. Not enough of the sanctions have been lifted, and with the house turning in 11 months, those sanctions are going to crush Vlad and allllllll of his rat friends. The dems will get the evidence, and all of their collusion will be exposed. It's a fair guess that they're implicated, because they helped hide evidence.

And guess who's next in line for the poison? That last guy in britian was only a test: That stuff had never been used, before.

Don the Con is removing anyone who would allow Vlad and his operatives to reach him.

This. Is. Going. To. Get. Ugly.

Putin knows this. Trump is a long time FBI informant. If he decides to say he was "duped" that he got in "over his head" when he went in to politics, his base will buy it, they way they bought all his shit. And Putin's entire operation in the US will collapse.

So, yeah, maybe Russia should have thought twice before making a deal with a known FBI informant!

Of course, anything can happen. Asteroid. Plague. Who knows.

But that's always the case. And until then -- the slow steady wheels of justice, grinding exceedingly fine.

There's never been an American political party composed almost entirely of Traitors before.

There is now.

(paraphrasing here)

Trump's incompetence was not a surprise.
What was a surprise was how the Republicans supported and empowered his incompetence instead of protecting the country from it.

I think Eisenhower was the last republican to really believe in a national interest which supersedes party benefit. Republicans these days are crooks first, republicans second, conservatives third, Christians fourth and Americans whenever it happens to be convenient or they are giving a campaign speech.

The same thing that W did in 2002 which saved the congress for the Republicans and increased their numbers.

W had a much greater basis for starting a war than Trump would have, was highly approved of in 2002 (deserved or otherwise) and he was given kid gloves treatment by the media. Trump is hated by about half the country and doesn't have any credibility with a large portion of the media. Personally I think if Trump wants a war to make him popular then he also needs a 9/11 that doesn't look like it's obviously his fault. If the Repubs try to push for a war right now they are facing a hard sell, and the guy who would be making it is an incompetent blowhard that most people don't trust.

doesn't think things are bleak or that he's powerless against puny US election trends. As president, Trump is the most powerful person in the world, apparently in alliance with who knows how many other very powerful very wealthy oligarchs from several other countries. Not to mention his all important corrupt alliances with some portion of congressional goprs.

He's not willing to sit back and become a cornered rat after the midterms...he and his mob will be proactive.

I imagine Trump is willing to turn the full force of his office and of others' toward his own protection. There will be firings, pardons, ginned up world disasters, suppression of evidence, voter suppression, behind the scenes blackmail, legal maneuverings, propaganda by 90% of talk radio and by Fox and a good portion of the rest of the media, witness tampering, obstruction, threats, Hatch Act violations galore, armed protests in the streets, more Koch bros tea-party-esque fake grassroots movements, lawsuits by third parties against investigations, mobilization of special interests...etc. There are nearly...nearly unlimited resources at Trump's disposal. An army of spies, lawyers, fellow oligarchs, WH advisors, congresspersons, media magnates, etc will be mobilized.

The unthinkable corruption of an entire congressional investigation that has to include the speaker of the house is evidence of what's to come.

This isn't about Mueller, or tax cuts, or removing safety nets, or any specific policy area...this is about a world-wide collection of criminal oligarchs making a bid for control of a large chunk of the planet. Trillions are on the line. Maybe many trillions. The fate of this oligarch movement won't be left naively to the american midterm results.

Cancellation of the house investigation. It is beyond the pale.

Tonight rachel revealed a dirty nyc real estate deal that jared made at trump tower with Japan's Abe just hours after the election. She claimed potential money sources were international.

And with 45's firings, on the same day this deal was revealed, the day the penn vote tanked, it's painfully clear the white house is in battle mode.

And still ryan et all are silent.

Now, the rumors are flying that mcabe is next, followed by sessions, and then mueller.

Let's see if they stay silent after that.
