Students independently organized and over 1000 walked out of a KY high school in total silence

I can't say enough about how impressed I have been with these kids, this really gives me hope!

There is no underestimating the commitment of the students - and their passion is understandable since real lives are at stake. The local school here (NE NY) supported the walkout today, as did the two schools just to the South. I was reading of the plans in the local paper and it said the students just to the North faced suspension if they participated. I'm anxious to hear how it all turned out.
