Are you generally pleased that Conor Lamb won his election

Just to see how much we actually differ on this issue.

he was kind of a Centrist Dem and I'm wondering when we do take over the House - that if a critical mass of Centrist Dems take seats - will we see something equivalent to a reverse 'tea party' movement in Congress?

party will shift a bit further right, which isn't great, but I doubt they will go full Tea Party or anything like that. For one thing, they still face some systematic challenges that make it hard for them to have the same kind of purge that the republicans have had. For another an extremist center seems a bit difficult to pull off - i get that many more centrist democrats resent Bernie Sanders, but I don't see them even pushing him out.

I'd surely think it will be easier to negotiate consensus with centrists like Lamb, than with Republicans.
(the latter so ridiculous a premise that it probably need not be said... still)

But, sure I'd rather a blue dog than the treasonous republican evil that is the republican party.

include additional room for anti-drumpf moderate Republicans and Independents. That's how we will win elections!
