in the US. (Yeah, I'm dumb that way.) I was watching videos about the Whitney Plantation, which is now a Slavery Museum and Memorial in Louisiana.
Anyway, I was shocked to find out that black slaves higher up in the pecking order often did the brutal whipping of other slaves.
So long-winded way of saying that some things don't change; they just have a different veneer.
